$100,000 Contest for NASCAR Chase (Playoffs) 2014

NASCAR has a $100,000 contest for the last 10 races.
1) After first 3 races ( Cicago, New Hampshire, Dover) 4 drivers will be eliminated for availability to win the Cup. Down to 12 drivers. A win at any of the three races equals advancement into the next round. The rest of the field of 12 will be determined by order of points scored in the three races. After this round, each advancing driver will be reset to 3,000 points.
2) After the next 3 (Kansas, Charlotte, Talladega) 4 drivers will be eliminated again. Down to 8 drivers. Here the hard race is Talladega, as you have to stay out of "The Big One". A win at any of the three races equals advancement into the next round. The rest of the field of eight will be determined by order of points scored in the three races. After this round, each advancing driver will be reset to 4,000 points.
3) After the next 3 races (Martinsville, Texas, Phoenix) 4 more drivers eliminated and the last 4 drivers will drive the last race @ Homestead, the highest finisher among the four finalists at Homestead-Miami Speedway will win the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship. A win at any of the three races equals advancement into the next round. The rest of the field of four will be determined by order of points scored in the three races. After this round, each advancing driver will be reset to 5,000 points.
--During the chase if you win 1 race of the 3 but have lousy points, you will still advance, as winners advance. After that it goes by points.
--Example for the final race @ Homestead: winner of Martinsville, winner of Charlotte and winner of Phoenix advance with 1 other person who is at top of points other than those 3 drivers.
If someone wins 2 or more than it is possible for 2-3 non winners to advance by points in the last race.

You can go on-line and pick the exact table to win. Someone mentioned you also have to pick the order in Homestead to get your champion.

The difference in points of 3 is due to a win during the regular season. Brad Keselowski had 4 wins for a start of 2012 points.
Clint Bowyer and Kyle Larson are not eligible to win the Cup or in the Chase.

Deadline: ENTER PRIOR TO SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th.
Official Rules: Chase 101: All you need to know

Just released Sept 9: Kevin Harvick not happy with his pit crew so as Tony Stewart is not in the chase, Tony is going to give him his crew to Kevin Harvick (except crew chief).
Also 2nd last race Denny Hamlin's crew was amazingly fast posting sub 12 second pit stops all night long. Some speculation to some special impact guns.

I'm in CANADA! Pity!

My last pics would be: Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt jr,
Outside chances: Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano (I hate this guy but the Penske's have always qualified well, that being Logano & Keselowski).

Deadline is past, 2:00 pm ET. USA only!

Race 1 is over. Brad keselowski won on a great pass while Larsone & Harvick were battling, Keselowski passed them both. Jeff Gordon finished second and Larson, a rookie who started at the back of the field after going to a backup car, took third; Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five. With 4 laps to go Logano had a large piece of debris on the front of his car giving him better handling but the engine blew up as he crossed the finished line due to overheating and lack of coolant.

Brad Keselowski automatically advances to next round as he won the first of the 3 races in this round. He could finish dead last in the next 2 races and still advance!

Excellent race today! Lots of contenders with issues, many cautions, re-starts, worst being Denny Hamlin who was winning the race early but could not re-fuel his car and went 4 laps down, then to be involved in an accident for about 40 laps down. He better do well next week @ Monster Mile in Dover or he's out!
Jeff Gordon had a blown tire late in race.

Didn't care for race winner today: Joey Logano. He did a good job but i don't like him (his stupid smile)! Logano moves on to next round with his team mate Keselowski. Penske team domination.

4 Drivers Eliminated: AJ Allmendinger, Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle & Aric Almirola.

Kevin Harvick had dominant car but got a flat front tire due to a lug nut getting caught up in the rim removing the air tire valve for the inner tire. Guess the new pit crew from Tony Stewart isn't any better!
Kasey Kahne just got in due to earlier loose wheel issues which put him laps down, but recovered.

Jeff Gordon won due to long runs ending the race. Brad Keselowski came 2nd.

Jimmie Johnson was 3rd. He won this race the last 2 times and has a total of 9 wins at this track. Is he back in the hunt?

Next round with top 12 drivers. After the next 3 races, (Kansas, Charlotte, Talladega) 4 more will be eliminated down to 8.

Only 6 % of entrants picked all 12 drivers who advanced to the Contender Round: Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Ryan Newman.
I think the big surprise was Kurt Busch not advancing.
In the Chase Battle Grid Presented by Toyota, no one achieved the maximum score of 126 points for the first round. In fact, only one user scored over 100 (David Moore, with 102); the next-closest score was 90. From now until 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 5, Battle players can pick which eight drivers will move on to the Eliminator Round.

Harvick is the 2014 Champion and won the race.
Ryan Newman 2nd.
So many cauitons near the end made Hamlin fall back to finish 7th with 6-8 lap older tires, otherwise he could have won if it stayed green. Tires fell off quick here.
Logano had issues on pit road as car fell of the jack. He finished 16th. He also hit the wall for some small damage.
Jeff Gordon was leading many laps and came later for tires, but worked back up to 10th.
