what's your hobby....
its pretty fun to build and race one and just tune them and work on them, its nice to see your creation zooming down the street or taking a nice jump. it is definitely not cheap to fix when wrecked, but thats all part of the fun of it, drive it till it breaks, then fix and drive again. The one in the picture there has fiberglass chassis, before people started going with carbon fibre, but its rigid and will hold up well. my off-road has actually has an aluminum tub chassis, its heavier, but still quick
hey michael... where would I go about getting one of the RC cars that are a mazda6??? I've been looking for one but I don't know exactly where I should be looking.
i dont think that they make RC cars for all cars, i think they just make RC cars out sponsered real life cars, historic cars, muscle cars, Nascar cars, stuff like that, its just a guess im most likely wrong or half right.
Actually, the RC cars are not made to any specific model of car, basically the kit is just the chassis, and other rolling parts, called a rolling chassis. if you want a specific vehicle, you have to buy that specific plastic body. if you want more info, find a local hobby store, let them know what you are interested in and hey will point you in the right direction. normally the people that are into the hobby are generally pretty nice and will answer any question if they have the answer.
the electric motors are pretty cheap... but i wanted the gas motors which ran $450+ to get that power and speed.... but the electric could be just fine if i were to buy one
here's the link for the mazda6 body http://rc-mushroom.com/product_info....oducts_id=3388

hahaha..definitely not cheap to get started. that bofy was on $17, not to bad, they go up in price depending on what you get. I have one RC kit that retailed for $325, not including the electronics needed to run it. the motors are fairly in-expensive, but they do go into the $70-$100 range. That is the body I will be getting for my car, you actually paint it on the inside of the body, i reverse order of how a 1:1 car is painted, that way it does not get scratched if you wreck it. check this out, the worlds fastest RC car, clocked at 111mph, all electric. about $700 worth of mods done to it.
