Oh, and also a tie with the R32 would be the 2002 Z06 Vette. Another great car. But I have to say that I probably miss the R32 even more than the Vette for all around practicality.

Default This is like picking your favorite song

My first car was a 1962 Ford Galaxie 390 convertible. What a yacht that was. My second car was a 1967 Camaro SS ( in 1969 ) 4 speed 350 350 hp. All of my high school friends had muscle cars. My best friend had a 1957 Chevy convertible. Another friend had a 1967 Chevelle 396. If we only knew what we had. The RX-7 still rates near the top.

That's a mouth full.
But I must tell you that compared to the other models available in '57, the Convertible was a dog. It was the heaviest of all of them and most often came w/a 2-sp Power-glide tranny.
I had a 210, 2-dr sedan which was approx 350lbs. lighter than a convertible, w/a 327-300hp, 3-sp Hurst and the stock 4:11's (4:10's really, from the original Power Glide that was in the car.) The only time I ran out of snot was when the valve train (hydraulic) or ignition system (std coil/points distributor) couldn't keep up, or @ about 115mph.
Of course w/the 4-bbl intake I had, full dual exhaust and a 16 yr old right foot that was just discovering the art of power-shifting, 9.5mph (w/a 10gal tank) was doing pretty good too.
In other words I didn't pass the gas station very often.

'96 Mercedes E Series, still going strong after 14 years. The longest that i've owned a car.

Some other favorites I shouldn't have got rid of are a "69 RoadRunner that I bought brand new for $3200, '71 Porche 911 and a '74 Alfa GTV coupe.

Sorry for the old crappy pictures, these car were gone 20-30 years ago.
