What do you pay for gas?

Another thread for Jamie to post whore in. ;)

What do you pay for gas where you are? I pay $3.29 for 87 at Getty sometimes, but I usually spend $3.35 at Sunoco.

SmAA #1: I just pay the going rate. It's the only choice I have.
SmAA#2: Ah, $28-$34 depending on how much fits in the tank.

OK, 'nough w/the smartassed answers: Prices have been jumping up and down around here for months now, but the last time I bought 87 @ my favorite Shell station it was $2.999. Before that, $2.959, but now it's dropped a bit to $2.919. I don't buy Citco for political reasons, but the local station here has 87 for $2.859.

Ah, because of the Argentinian leader, right? I don't buy Citgo either...but their gas sucks anyway,

In my experience, the best 87 around here is Sunoco, followed closely by Shell. BP is alright, but expensive ($3.39 the last time I passed by).

Amoco used to be excellent too and one of the few that offered lead free 95 (96?)octfor a long time. But I haven't seen an Amoco station for several years now. I wonder if they got bought out?

Citgo is Venezuelan (Hugo Chavez) not Argentinian.

87 is going for anywhere from $2.79 in downstate MI to $3.09 up North.

Amoco got bought out by BP.

my prices are the same as VB.. seeing that we live in the same area.. even though we're like 20 miles away from each other like 4 hours in between me and him (thats including the times it takes to swim from brooklyn to S.I. lol)... i run 93 in my car from bp most of the time at and around 3.559... 3.499 is the lowest is went and 3.599 is the highest as i recall.

Venezuelan, Si! Is that anything like Van Halen?

Ah, and that explains why the little(and very old) BP station down the street has Amoco pumps too. I always thought they just didn't think it necessary to update them. I didn't live here yet when they probably had theAmoco sign.

Just about all of the old Amoco stations around me very very quickly converted to BP...except one on the edge of the Island - it was abandoned, and the AMOCO sign is still there I think.
