yeah the modding laws are ridiculous..
we HAVE to report EVERY mod to the DMV..
BUT of course NO ONE does this haha!

but I see people driving mazdas, But like the Protege's and the cx7's, i see LOTS of 3's
BUT none are modded..
I have run into FEW modded 3's/6's
Let alone MS3's
OH I ran into one today!
i was SHOCKED TO HELL!

 

Just be glad you dont have what we have in Ontario. In Ontario, we have a street racing law. Basically what happens is if your caught doing over 50 km/hr the posted speed limit you lose your car for 7 days, as well as your licence and you get slapped with at 2000-10 000 fine. *which reminds me of the movie canadian bacon. Now that will be 2000 Canadian dollars or 10 American dollars lolll* anyway. they go after us like you wouldn't believe.

 

I m from So. Cal SD, but I don't mod my mazda. I have many reasons for not modding my Mazda. For one wife will be pissed at me for spending $$$ on my 10 year old mazda. Hard to justify to wife. For 2 I doubt my 99 protege will benefit much from it with a sad 1.6L engine along with 140K miles on it.
