im 17, with 3 points on my license, and one speeding ticket (for 65 in a 50, no points)
im leasing a 2007 mazda3, and my insurance is....get this, $200...
A MONTH!! and im under my parents name!!
if i was under my parents name, i'd be paying double that amount, at least......
god i hate insurance....
and ps, im in canada, so those numbers are in CDN dollars, and km/h

 

for those of u who r whining about highinsurance.
i live in NJ. HIGHEST insurance rates in the country (cus ppl here love to sue)
on top of that. im 17. with a spankin new mazda6.

the only break im gettin. is the fact im drivin a mazda6 (2nd cheapest car to insure). and not the RSX type-S or audiA4 i was suposed 2 get. haha

if you ask me, insurance is such a scam.
you pay money every year to have your car covered against damages, theft, etc,
then when you claim something, you have to pay a deductible, so in my case $500, and then your insurance company ups your monthly rate for getting into an accident that may have not even been your fault.

now if they had insurance against speeding tickets, that would be usefull!!
ex, you payx amounta month to be covered again speeding tickets!!

and p.s. we need an autobahn that runs thru canada and u.s.
i'd never get off of it (until i ran outta gas)

then the gov't realized it was such a good idea that they kept it around.

Actually, it was WW1 I believe (income tax, that is), and you're right -- it was supposed to be temporary. Would like to go back in time and shoot the SOB's who failed to make that happen.

Now, insurance rates. I think mine is under $1000 a year for 3 cars, but 2 are quite old. I probably don't have any points, but my wife may.She would never tell me unless it was obvious I would find out. The MS3 only bumped it up by aroiund $280 a year, probably becauseI have a prettyclean record now.
