Craftsman!!!
I just got a 155 mechanic tool set as an early X-mas present. I just got it today!!!
You know so I can put it to good use now. Craftsmen I think its a great starter set. I don't know, I am really happy. I had a cheap set befor and it was trash broke my ratchet when I was ajusting my altornator. Any way just wanted to say that and wondered what every one else uses? |
RE: Craftsman!!!
Craftsman tools are rather good for the price. I try to keep a set of craftsman (small set) in my car and have a shop set- mostly snap-on. You're doing the right thing by starting a good tool selection.

RE: Craftsman!!!
I started off with Craftsman, they are good for the price. I mainly use Snap-On and Matco, and i have a great set of deep offset Mac wrences. Craftsman are great for the DIY person.

RE: Craftsman!!!
i've been using craftsman tools ever since i've started workin on vehicles 8 years ago. to me, they are rather highly dependable and get the job done without you having to worry about them breaking. I've had no complaints. if i were to recommend a brand, craftsman would be the case.:D

RE: Craftsman!!!
I worked at a Sears auto shop for 5 yrs, just out of high school, and have a roll-around full of Craftsman tools. They are over 30 years old and I've never replace one due to breakage or defect! And I use 'em regularly. Snap-On are nicer, but 3X the price and for DIY work hard to justify the extra cost.
