Default Whats up Everyone & need help?

Hey everyone, just registered for this site. I am the proud owner of a 1986 Mazda B2000 LX Cab Plus (Black and Silver). I bought my truck my Senior year in high school 87 saving every dime I ever made. She has 127,000 original miles most of them highway miles back and forth from IL to TN. I have not driven my truck in more than 10-15 years but she does run and has been in a garage. Everything is basically original outside of the maintenance parts.

Over the last couple of weeks I have started working on her so I can enjoy her again. I have replaced the slave cylinder, Clutch Master Cylinder, Brake Master Cylinder, Mechanical Fuel pump, and battery. All of the basic maintenance parts (Plugs, wires, distributor cap, oil\filter, fuel filter etc). I disconnected the fuel line so protect from trash in the tank, filled the bowl in the carb, cranked the engine and she fired right up. Made me smile a little. We have been through a lot, this little truck and I, so I feel I owe it to her to get it going.

Next steps will be to pull the fuel system and replace it. I have tried to find a carb rebuild kit for my carburetor but I am not sure which one will work. When I do a search I pull up carb kits for Weber, Holly, etc. Does any one know what the OEM carb was for this year Mazda B2000 or know the proper part number for the kit to order?

Also would like to hear what everyones thoughts are for body part venders. Ever order from Discount Parts or Carparts? Any recommendations?

I look forward to collaborating and sharing with everyone. Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you considered a carb swap instead of rebuilding the original. From what i hear many people dont get good results when trying to rebuild the oem carbs. Weber makes a nice swap kit for these engines.

I have. I have watched many videos on it, specifically one that show how to modify the intake to eliminate several of the non-essentials. I plan to search to see if there is anyone that sales them already done but if not then I will attempt it myself if I decide to go that route.
