Hello, New to this site.
I have a 2004 tribute 4 cyclinder. On 1st gear when releasing the clutch pedal my engine or transmission shakes very bad. I usually have to take off on 2nd gear to avoid this shake. It also happens when backing up. 1st gear and Reverseshakes bad , 2nd, 3rd,4th,5th are all ok.
And this only happens more often than sometimes. Hope you all can help with this issue.

 

Check the motor mounts on your front wheel drive engine. If it only happens on first or reveres it has to be a mount problem. Trans problemsoccur on all gears not just one. Unless it is a linkage that is bad.
