FOB, door locks, truck release @ night.
What really, really, really sucks and sucks big time about my 2016 Mazda3.
No glow-in-dark or back-lite buttons on door locks, truck release and key FOB.
This will make me not buy another Mazda for something that would have cost them a buck to supply.

Stews,
If a light on the door lock switch is the most important feature for you, then perhaps another car is the best car for you. I understand. I have bought cars based on similar small deciding factors.
I just went over 75,000 miles on my 2015 Mazda3 S Touring and I almost went out to check if you were correct that there is no light on the switches. I find the controls perfectly laid out and never noticed that there was no light. I put the car in Park when I need to unlock the doors. I find that a natural combination. I think it is a good idea to have the car in park when people get out.
I will continue to drive my Mazda and replace it with another Mazda based on the entire package that for me is unmatched by other brands. I would settle for manual locks if it was the only way to get the handling Mazda is known for.
