New to Mazdas
Hey Everyone,
I'm new to Mazda's and thought I would introduce myself. I picked up my 2006 Mazda 6, V6, 5 Speed in February. Since then I have put about 10,000 miles on her and have fallen in love with the car. The car I had before her was a 1998 BMW M3. I like the BMW but after totaling it, I decided i should probably invest in something less extravagant. I was looking at a 2004 Mazda 6 wagon when the dealer wasn't willing to budge on the price. I then went to look at another 04 wagon at a different dealer and saw her sitting in the lot at the dealership across the street. I went over and 45 minutes and a test drive later I was the proud new owner of a Mazda 6. I have been lucky because since I got her 7 months ago and I have had to do very little maintenance. The only modification i have done to her was a Aux hookup that i got from another forum and I'm happy with how it turned out. If anyone has any advice or recommendations on what i should do next or some common problems to look out for I would appreciate it.

The stock Exhaust on that is really bad, read: https://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/maz...-design-28940/ .
the Mazda 6 eats batteries, wrap your stock battery in some kind of insulation. Add a few extra grounds as well. Grounds i recommend from negative battery: to engine block, to throttle body, another one to body.
Change the PCV valve. Change fluids in tranny, coolant, power steering and brakes.
Clean throttle body and MAF. Put in some fuel system cleaner.
