You want to convert your Probe 4cyl turbo to a B series truck engine w/fuel injection???
I'm not sure I'm reading that right either?
The 2nd and 3rd gen MX-6, the Probe's brother, is a better handling and more reliable car... better looking to, imo. Why not look for one of those and dump the Probe?

Worked on them for a number of years - Mx6 and Probe were the same car underneath with most parts interchangable.Probe had different body panels and interior and slightlyfirmer suspension calibrations. Engines were all Mazda. Probes were a little more hard edged but overall the Mx6 was a better driver and I think way better looking. Mx6 also had far better fit and finish.
I completelyagree w/you Mazdatkb.
A while back I was looking for a (used) late '80's MX6. I loved the way they drove, even over the 626's (4dr version) of the same 2nd generation. I didn't check but weren't the MX6's lighterweight than the Probe too? And I thought it was the Probe that was more softly sprung? I drove one or two of those too and was not impressed. It felt much bigger/heavier than it should have, imo. The MX felt just right... a little underpowered, but well balanced.
