Hm, that's odd. It should be the same...then again, I had that Corolla two years ago. I could be wrong.

Ill tell you why he beat you though...weight + auto trans killed you. You just can't launch a slushbox like a 5 speed, especially FWD.

lmao. I think I just realized he was talking about a Corolla. I thought he ment that Celica's and Corolla's had the same engine, I wouldn't know. I don't know Corolla's.

but yes, V1 is right, CELICA.. hha.

And yes, the Corolla and regular CELICA used the same 1.8L.

I know they have/had a lot in common between them, but IIRC the Corolla was using the 1.8L while the Celia of those years was using a 2.0L. I nearly bought a hatchback of that era,But frankly, I don"t have time to verify thesethoughts right now.
Work tomorrow, and 3:20AM comes mighty early no matter which time zone you are in.

well thank you! same around here, EVERYBODY owns a dang civic. I think it's pretty hilarious! haha.
and I sure will..

I had a problem with my heater, but I got it fixed today, the filter looked like it hadn't been changed. EVER. Wasn't blowing as good as it should've been, replaced the filter, and it's all good now..

Nope Rich, Toyota hasn't produced a 2.0 for us in a long time.
