Smile Hello from Canada!

Hey there!

My name is Medina, I am from BC, Canada, and I currently own a 1995 Mazda 323 Hatchback (the weird one that looks almost like an alien spaceship). However, as of Monday, I will own a 2006 Mazda 5! It is currently my mothers, but my grandmother is passing her 2016 Mazda 3 hatchback on to my mother and my mother is passing the 5 on to me, and I will be passing my 323 onto a friend in May. (We have a thing for Mazda's in this family).

I have plenty of fun ideas for the 5 as to what I'd like to do with it (updating the audio system, potentially installing fog lights, see if I can fix the sliding door locks that have a mind of their own, etc), and thankfully my brother likes tinkering with Mazda's so I can count on having some sibling bonding time over our Mazda's I'm sure.

Anyways, thanks for having me!

Welcome to the forum. Going from a 323 Hatchback-the weird one to a Mazda 5 keeps you in the more unique Mazdas.

By the way, I remember the 323 hatchback and liked the style. Like the Mazda 5, it was a very practical vehicle that was not like much on the market at the time.

Was the 323 hatchback all wheel drive?

My particular 323 was FWD but I've had other Mazda enthusiasts ask me the same question as well which leads me to believe that perhaps they are a more rare version? This is the 323 that i will dearly miss when i pass it on to my friend.
I am excited for the 5 as I will be taking it on a short road trip up island camping in a few weeks with my family so it should be lots of fun in the 5!
