I just bought a mazda b2200 1990 model. I put a new oil pmp on it and a head gasket. the previous owner rebuilt it about i guess 2 yrs ago, rods, mains, seals valve stems. When you first start it its quiet and purs like a kitten, After the engine gets hot or the oil gets hot the lifters start to tap. Im running 40 wieght oil in it, and its getting good lubercation due to the new oil pump. Would replacing the lifters make the tapping stop or should i leave it alone?
