I'm new, how's everybody here?

I joined cuz I have a Mazda MX-5 Miata convertible that I want to learn a little about. How's everybody doing?

Fine.

Welcome.

Please tell us more about the Miata (year, miles, options, color, etc.)

I have also just acquired an MX-5 Miata, 2006, 45k Miles, soft top convertible 5spd manual, metalic silver, i believe its the basic model no fancy bells and whistles but i absolutely love the car. Can't wait to start upgrading.... looking to start with the basics, suspension, exhaust, intake, brakes etc... just trying to decide where to start..:p

The suspension is where I would normally start noobs off, but that's one area the MX-5's are pretty tight to begin with. The OE brakes are very good too due to the lightweight, low nature of the car's design and afore-mentioned suspension.
So I would say if you want a little more "sound" go that route first.

Sorry I haven't replied to the thread, internet woes over here recently. It's a red 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata 5-speed convertible, and I'm trying to figure out if it's base or not because the features don't match up with exactly what the original run had, but some do. It's got stereo (upgraded to CD), A/C, rear spoiler, American Racing alloy rims, high-performance Yokohama racing tires (my add-on), and doesn't have cruise, anti-theft, or power steering or windows. It's got 93000mi. Check the pics attached. Any insight would help, thanks.

Thanks all for the pointers!

I've pretty much figured out everything I need to with a little insight from you guys, thanks! Gotta list this beauty on craigslist, sadly. Any tips on where I should post about the ad or if I can even do that as a new member? I'll check forum rules again before I do, but would appreciate a time-saving tip from you, virgin1, if you see this. Thanks again to all of you!

Well, here's one... :D
FS ads are free here, but there are a few rules we ask you to comply with:

24hrs is the usual time we offer to comply. After that, your thread may be deleted at any time.

Why are you selling? You just got the car, didn't you?

Thanks for the links. No, my roommate's father got it in 06, and never really researched its history. Unfortunately, he passed about a year ago and my roommate doesn't want it. I'd love to keep it, but it's not really up to me, and I definitely can't afford it right now. If you know anyone looking for one of these, I'd much rather sell to a deserving enthusiast than anyone else
