dfc or DSC?? Have never seen a dfc button on an RX-8. DSC stands for 'Dynamic Stability Control'. It is a system that works in conjunction with the ABS/TCS systems. DSC is designed to help and correct for oversteer and/or understeer. In simple terms, to aid in keeping you from spinning out of control if you take a corner to fast. It does this by applying a front or rear brake caliper and if needed to reduce engine output if the system detects that you are at the point of going out of control in a corner. The button is there to turn it off in the event that you want to get a little wild and spin out here and there.
