Hi from new owner of 2008 CX-7 with problems
 

Hi everyone, I just bought an '08 CX-7 (2WD & gas engine) that has lived a life of abuse. I have fixed some of its problems, but I will be needing advice from y'all with others. Such as: I had it running well until I took it to a gas station to fill up the half-full tank. Within 20 miles of fillup, it started running rough at idle (starting idling at 600 RPM and sounding like it was knocking) and overheating. 10 miles later, the engine died and will not restart. It acts like it's not getting any gas. I siphoned out some from the tank and it is a dark orange color. I plan to drain tank and examine the gas, try to determine if the station sold me old gas or diesel by mistake, or perhaps the tank is rusted on the inside and has clogged the filter/injectors.

Any suggestions while I get ready to do more investigating? Thanks. Jeff
