Hi, New guy here. Question about Premacy gearbox.
Hi everyone
I bought a 2007 Mazda Premacy today. Whilst driving I noticed when the automatic gearbox downshifts it doesn't go into 2nd gear, always 3rd straight to 1st. Going up is ok, it shifts normally from 1st to 2nd to 3rd etc but not when downshifting. Is it meant to be like this?

Welcome to the forum and Mazda ownership.
Interesting question, I hope someone with more knowledge of the Premacy / Mazda5 can shed some light on the question. How do you know it bypasses 2nd gear? Is it noticeable that it is in the wrong gear or do you have an indicator of which gear you are in?
