Dave, keep; the faith! I drove an RX-3 from '73-'76. It was a real sleeper.
Bought in San Bernadino CA and moved to Bucks Harbor ME, courtesy of the USAF. It even started when the temp was below freezing.
In '75 and driving the speed limit when a Camaro z28 hugged my rear bumper until there was a short place to pass. I sped up and stayed on his rear bumper until 110mph, then, went back to a sane speed on bumpy ME roads. When I was going through the next town, the 3 guys were out of their car and waved me over. Out of curiosity, I did, and it was like in stereo except from all 3 of them, "What in the Hell do you have in this thing?" I got out an showed them the rotary engine and they were amazed.
