I grew up in a "buy American made only" family so this is my first completely foreign made automobile. I owned a Pontiac Vibe for 3 years before I bought the CX-5 two days ago, so was very comfortable with Japanese technology. I have friends who love their Mazda's. My hope is to get 7 years from this vehicle. I drive about 25-30 thousand miles a year so realistically understand seven years would be the top of my comfort zone. I have 2 dogs and 4 children so the CX-5 was the perfect pick for our family while still maintaining an excellent mpg rating.
