Default Fed up with recalls on 2019 mazda3

Is there anyone else out there who is fed up with all the recalls on the 2019 3? While I am glad Mazda has taken responsibility for the defects, it is ridiculous that there have 5 recalls in less than 6 months. If Mazda really plans to become an upscale brand this is not the way to go about it.

This is is my first Mazda and likely my last.

I agree that there have been too many recalls. The Mazda3 is not that radical of an upgrade and I expected them to do it right the first time without excessive recalls. I am concerned about the first year issues of the new technology engine expected to be delivered next year.

As you indicated recalls are better than problems not resolved. Worse for Mazda would be problems ignored for a few years resulting in millions of vehicles recalled versus thousands.

The price of getting the latest and greatest of the first year of a new generation is the bugs that are later worked out. Thankfully Mazda is quickly addressing the issues with recalls.

I just read about Ford and the transmission in the Focus and Fiesta. They knew it was a problem and had no solution. They covered it up for years. Five or 15 recalls would be better than denial of a problem.

Hello, just curious because I like to be ready for purchases in the event I have to suddenly buy a new car. This is months since your post about the 2019 mazda3 having multiple recalls, are you aware of any improvement in this regard? Have recalls slowed down, have there been many more? What about the 2020 mazda? In your opinion what has been the best mazda of the last 5 years?

I'm realizing these questions are better asked to this entire forum and not just you... so I may redirect my questions to a more general widespread audience!

What is the best Mazda depends on what you are looking for. The CX5 is a great vehicle. The Miata is the best sports car on the market for anything less than twice the price. The last generation Mazda3 is the best small car ever made in my opinion for what I am looking for in a vehicle (great driving dynamics and extremely reliable).

I now have a 19 Mazda3 that had 1 recall. Most recalls and flaws were in the earlier cars. I would buy a 2020 without hesitation.

Beyond the recalls, there have also been some TSBs issued to fix other problems people are having. A recent TSB fixed my biggest complaint and I am now happy with my Mazda.

My next car will likely also be a Mazda. Nothing else provides the quality drive and reliability I need to get to work every day and to enjoy the drive.

Hi. Yes, it has improved although a couple weeks ago there was another recall, this time for the autonomous braking which was going off even when nothing was there. Despite that, i love the car. It handles beautifully and it is fun to drive. Somehow, when turning you never seem to need to correct the steering. The transmission is great and I have gotten excellent mileage.

one thing i have not been impressed with are Mazda dealers. I live in Phoenix and there are 7 or 8 dealers. I have been to 3 for the recall work and have not received good service.
