Default DPF - Mazda6 2009 2.2 MZR-CD

I have seen a thread on Mazda 6 2.2d Sport DPF issues in the past but mine is a little more complicated and I'm just reaching out for some help on this.
6 years ago I had my DPF removed and mapped out to avoid the common issue with carbon build up in the engine. It has ran with no issues for all this time until the last two weeks when my DPF light started to flash. Sometimes it clear eventually but now it won't, constantly flashing which is really strange as I don't have one.
So I asked the person who remapped my car for me and he suggested a couple of causes.
1, High oil level
2, Stretched timing chain.
I have had a diagnosis check, no faults present apart from a clutch pedal sensor.
I have just flushed the engine, put in fresh oil and filter but the light is still flashing. I have also tried the manual reset using a bit of wire to the body earth but nothing works, still flashing. Does this clutch pedal sensor have anything to do with it, or is it the timing chain?
I'm running out of ideas now guys.
