DIY Guide: How to Add Apple CarPlay / Android Auto to Your Mazda!
Hi everyone! I’ve noticed a lot of people asking how to retrofit CarPlay or Android Auto into their Mazdas. I wanted to put together a quick guide with all the links you need to get this working. It’s totally doable yourself and makes a huge difference to the car!⚠️ IMPORTANT FIRST STEP: Software UpdateBefore you touch any hardware or take your dash apart, you MUST update your Mazda Connect firmware to Version 70.00.100 or higher. If you install the new USB hub with the old software, it will not work and could cause issues. * Get the firmware here: https://blackwhisperal.gumroad.com/l/yoqye (Follow the instructions provided there carefully to update your system via USB first).🛠️ STEP 2: The PartsYou need the official Retrofit Kit (Hub + Cables). The part number is usually TK78-66-9U0C. This replaces the USB box in your center console or dashboard. * Buy the kit here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005870912631.html🔧 STEP 3: The InstallationOnce your software is updated and you have the parts, you just need to swap the USB hub and route the new cables to your screen. It involves removing some trim pieces, but it’s plug-and-play. * Watch this installation guide: Mazda CarPlay Installation GuideQuick Summary of the Process: * Update Firmware (Crucial!) * Remove center console/dash trim (clips are tight, be gentle!). * Remove the head unit (screen) to access the back plugs. * Run the NEW cables from the screen down to where the USB hub lives. * Swap the old USB hub for the new one. * Put everything back together and enjoy Waze/Spotify on your screen!Hope this helps anyone looking to modernize their Mazda! Feel free to ask if you get stuck. This video shows the full physical installation process on a CX-5, which is very similar for most Mazda models.

Basically this is a marketing spam post for junk aliexpress equipment to mess up your Mazda. Good luck.

If you are looking at resent posts this member that started the thread has posted several others all reported and hopefully removed ASAP. As well an IP check and possible IP ban done |

Then why are you going into various threads and posting the same thing. That generally means a spammer.
When a *member or visitor (*specifically) log on and sees what new today all your responses came up. So they all were cautioned reported to check as spam. And still will be. Maybe think about this the next time you have good information to offer and don't want it questioned in the future. |
I purchased my Android Auto kit off Alliexpress and installed it in my 2016 CX-5. Worked perfectly.

The kit I purchased off AliExpress was labelled as Mazda and used Genuine Mazda part numbers. It Had USB A sockets.
It was working fine when I sold the vehicle. |
