CX 7 2010 2.2 Diesel - Oil Dilution
 

This is my first post after having just bought a CX-7 which we are very pleased with but which has no record of a recent sevice. So before I do this service I want to understand if the CX-7 measures the quality of its oil. Does it measure Oil dilution? If it does is it possible to read this data to tell what condition the oil is in? I found a procedure online to reset the oil data which i pressume is over and above the standard service reset.

Also is it worth doing an active DPF regen prior to changing the oil as this seems to be the primary reason for oil dilution. Or am I over thinking this!!

Any help would be appreciated.
