Default Broken headlight cover on mazda 6

HI. I have a 2014 MAZDA 6 SPORT NAV SALOON with xenon headlights. I pranged it last weekend and cracked the passenger headlight cover. Mazda say it needs a whole new assembly and quoting c.£1000 for supply and fit. Seems ridiculous as the older model had a separate cover. Any ideas on replacing the cover or how to source a used one?

Thanks in advance.

Two options to check. Salvage yards and my favorite: amazon. I would consider replacing both the left and right to have matching lights.

Thanks for the responses. I will post a photo shortly. As an aside a keep getting steer judder once I brake. It’s effect varies. Responses are always discs warping but I have replaced them a couple of times. It’s ok for a few months but then comes back. Mazda say it’s because no shims were fitted. Do you think that would make any difference? It seems a fairly common problem

I can't see any headlight cover, looks like you have a broken headlight that requires replacing.

That's a bummer but 1k is ridiculous. It looks like it's in really good condition though so you could probably just get away with replacing the one, correct? As someone else suggested just buy one for like $130 and install it yourself. Here's a rock auto link (I LOVE this website because they make it so easy to search for parts. I know very little about cars and do most of my own repairs and maintenence through youtube videos and rock auto has helped me a lot with finding the right parts and part names.) https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...assembly,10762

Here is the same part on amazon:
Amazon Amazon

As far as youtube goes I was unable to find a video specifically for your 2014 mazda6, but here's a video for a mazda3, and it involved removing the bumper first. I know it might look scary but honestly once you get into it I really think you'll realize it's not that scary afterall, and once it's all done you'll be glad you spent a couple hours and were able to do it yourself and save yourself 900 bucks.
