I've just bought this car, reasonable price, 17k on the odometer.
i'm having issues getting 4GR when the transmission is cold.
(QLD, Australia cold btw, around 10-15 Celsius)
but also generally "sporty" shifting sometimes too

 

Has it been scanned for DTC's?

How clean is the ATF?

 

I haven't been to mechanic yet, but atf looks clean. I was thinking about changing it tho.

 

update : ATF was pretty feral, drained about 3l and topped up.
ordered service kit to do and replace another 3l when it arrives
see how that goes
