Hi Alex, Welcome to the forum.
I'm in Austin (area) but have you checked out some of the other boards... like Mazdas247? I believe there already are meets in SA, plus a few that are set up specifically so that Austin & SA, as well as surrounding area members can join in if they wish. And there is always the statewide meet too.
I don't go to meets anymore myself, but I Mod for that site too and know there is activity in your area.
