2008 Mazda CX-7 Grand Touring Sport, problems
Hello all,
I just joined this site, because I have started having problems with my 2008 Mazda CX-7 Grand Touring Sport. I bought the car used from a dealer, it had 75,000 miles on it and it was in great condition. This was in 2015, I did have to have the A/C compressor replaced last year. My wife and I really love the car and have taken it on a few vacations and it performed great. Now the problems. About a month ago this would have been August, a few times when we started it up. Light grey smoke came out of the exhausts, after revving it up. Our whole driveway area was covered in thick light grey smoke. It didn't do this continuously, so I checked all of the fluid levels, and they were fine. There was no oil in the water nor was there any water in the oil. Everything else worked as they should. Then about 2 weeks ago, the car started making the loud noise that I determined. Was coming from the A/C compressor clutch, which was not turning. It makes such a loud noise that we have stopped driving it. So we are at the point that between not knowing what is causing the light grey smoke from the exhaust pipes, and now the A/C clutch not turning and making a lour screeching noise. We are at the point of having to decide between paying to have the A/C clutch replaced. And having a mechanic try to find out why the smoke is coming from it. The car has the turbo 4cyl. engine, and it now has 93,000 miles on it. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
