Default 2006 Mazda 6 no crank, no start

I have a 2006 Mazda 6i and I had to replace the ignition switch. After I installed the switch, I notice the immobilizer light blinking on the dash and now the car won't do anything. How to do I reset the immobilizer on the car? I only change the ignition switch but kept the same key cylinder and key because it was bad. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum

Without having to type it out in my words the rather lengthy worded procedure there are several good easy to follow how to you can find specifically for your Mazda. This is one of many available to follow.

If you have problems the labor is 1 hour in ALLData recommended time so if you must have a shop do it that really all they should charge for?
Your state is between 125-156 per hour rate average with shops have trained and certified automotive technicians. Less for shops with only general mechanic's
