My check engine light came on and I took it to the local Mazda dealer and was told that my PCV hose was cracked. I took it to autozone and was told it was related to the EVAL or somthing like that. Can anyone give me an idea what the error is..

 

My MPV2003 just had the same problem P2404. My car runs normal, but in order to get rid of the Engine Light ON, All it took was to reprogram to PCM and it cost about $290 at Mazda. I don't think any service shop can do it. it is ridiculous just to re-program to reset the light , but that is from Mazda Manufacturer comment.
