    I have a 1988 Mazda B2200 Long Bed Carb.
    It has been running great.
I had a problem starting it this morning.
    A bad + battery connector.
I got a jump and the guy helping me connected the jumper cables backwards and got a spark from the battery.
I started it back up and everything seemed to be fine.
I put $20 worth of gas in the tank just before this. I drove home about 1 mi. and noticed that my gas meter was almost on empty. I thought the gas sender was lying to me.
I ran an errand in the neighborhood and the gas gauge went to 1/4 tank and then went back down to empty very quickly. On the way home I ran out of gas. No sign of a gas leak and there is gas in the gas filter.
It appears that I am losing gas between the gas tank and the engine.
    Any suggestions?
