wierd shift to reverse

for those of you with the 6 speed auto, when you shift from drive to reverse, does you car jump (not a hard jump, but harder then normal) or seem to hesitate then drop into gear? mine does, but not all the time. i dont like it at all. i was wondering if anyone else had this same thing happen with their 6. sorry if how i worded this is alittle hard to understand, its hard to describe
i bought my car with 30K, since i have owned it i put 2K on it. should i take it to mazda...its still under factory warrenty. thanks in advance...Nick

RE: wierd shift to reverse

Yes, mine does this too. I've been told that it's "not a problem" but I don't believe that for a minute. Dealership has yet to replicate the issue, so noideas what it is..yet. It's a 2005 5-door, 6s AT. Started about 3 days after I picked it up from the dealer @ 21k miles back in April. It's been to the dealer twice already, now we're on the 3rd time with a new dealer.

..You ever find any more info?

RE: wierd shift to reverse

it could be because when you start the car up the rpms are considerably higher than when at normal idle. then the jump would be like you have your foot on the gas alittle bit when going from neutral to reverse.... i noticed thats what mine does
