Default Weird smell

My poor car just got out of the dealership cause it had to have a new front right awle put in, the one I bought it with wasn't lubbed enough and now whenever I come to a stop at a light or turn my car off there is a weird sulfer smell comming from the front driverside... I really don't want to bother the dealer again. I know I am picky about my car and I don't want to take it in unless there is somehting wrong, what could it be?

Just take it back. They messed up something, it's their responsibility to fix it. I have taken my car back 3 times to have something fixed they did wrong. They weren't happy with me, but they had a job to do, and had to do it properly. Who cares if they hate you for it. So be it!

The sulfur smell will not cause reduced drivability or durability of the engine or any of its emission components but it is better to take it back to the dealership. They are accountable to whatever problem your car is experiencing right now.

I had a smell ever since I first bought the car. It probably is the catalytic converter. I would have them look at it becuase I have 100,000 mile on my car now ant the catalytic converter broke into pieces and they say it went into my engine and killed my engine. Now they want almost $7000 for a new engine and catalytic converters!

There is no way, I repeat no way anything from your catalytic convertor got into your engine. The cat is a part of your exhaust, particles would have to travel up the exhaust system towards the engine (defying the laws of gravity, not to mention the gas flowing from the engine out the back of the car.) For $7000 I'd look into a performance Cosworth motor for your car. (Catalytic convertors cost maybe $100.) Get a lawyer, they're feeding you a line.

I know when I turn my car off, it has that smell. It is a common smell with the 6's. http://forum.mazda6tech.com/about1356.html
