All depends on the quality of the paint job...I've got $2500 (materials alone) of House of Kolors paints waiting to go onto my 74 Bronco. When I'm done there will be roughly 18 coats of either (9) primer, (3) sealer, (3) color or (3) clearcoat....more if needed, with block/wet-sanding every step of the way.....

I don't even want to guess what it would cost to have someone do this paintjob for me.....

Now if you're talking $2000 to just throw paint on parts that are already prepped, then yes, that is a bit steep.
