Turn Signal Bulb Replacement?

Hi gang. A quick question for you. My right front turn signal bulb is out. The right rear one works fine, so when I signal, I get the "fast clicking and flashing" from the dashboard indicator. Here's my question: Is replacement of the right front signal bulb a quick and easy job, or is it a total PITA due to access issues? I'm just curious as to whether I can do this myself easily, or if I should just wait and have the dealer do it when I take the car in for its 60k service next month. Your thoughts?

Thanks!!

It should be pretty easy to change, just twist the socket and pull it back.
I do believe your front bulbs are 2357A or NA bulbs also.

Thanks, Siber. So it's not difficult to access?

I know on the 3 there is not a lot of room, but you can get to it.
The 3 is the outside bulb where the 6 has the head light bulb on the outside so it might be a little easier to access.

hey dave,
its super easy to replace the blinker...in fact, on the 6, its the only bulb you can replace that doesn't require you to take off the whole damn bumper! just pop open your hood and take a look..you'll see a gray "cap" that you need to twist counter clockwise (i think). super easy! i recommend replacing them with silver bulbs! it makes it look so nice. instead of having an annoying orange bulb its silver and it looks nice and clean! and it still blinks orange so its legal! allrite...good luck!

I've had to change 1 of every bulb except turn signal since I've had my car, and never had to take the bumper off...

Turns out that it WAS a piece of cake. Zen, your description was right on. And I agree that all of the other bulbs look a lot less accessible! I replaced both turn signal bulbs, and kept the good one as a spare. Cheers,

David

...im rite zoomzoomchick. ive had my car for 5 years and after having replaced EVERY bulb (xcept the blinkers) by having to remove the bumper, i would guess i know what im talking about....i have an '05 6 sport...maybe yours is older?

I have an 05 6s also, and I have done all the bulbs too, with out removing my bumper....so I guess I know what I'm talking about also. Just cause I'm a girl doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.
