Tranny is very, very jerky when cold!!!!!!

My dealership says its normal and will not fix it, but when the temp is colder than 50F. The tranny takes awhile before the jerking stops. It can be very violent at times! Anyone else have this issue? I have the auto/manu tranny.
Thanks

Hi. That is called shift shock. It is a update that is available to all Mazda 6. There is a service bulletin. It is fixable and IScovered by warranty. I had the same issue. There is nothing wrong with your Tranny mechanically. The engine runs more rpms in the cold and the computer for the tranny is not set up perfectly for colder temperatures. Something like that. But it is no biggie! Just mention to your dealer that you think it is called shift shock. It is a common problem with the Mazda 6. If your dealer has no clue about it, tell them to call their corporate office. They know about it. Do not settle for anything. Other then that, this car is perfect. So enjoy! Let me know how it goes!

Oh wow, I will def. call! Thanks!
The tranny and the seats are the only things I am having problems with. My front seats are like cloth bricks and look cheap to boot.
