Tire width Mazda6
Love my Mazda6 sTouring Plus (2010) Still have the standard 17" wheels and P215 width that came with it. Would like to go a little wider when it's time for new tires - just like the look. Will the standard wheel go from 215 to 225 width? I'd probably keep the aspect the same, maybe go down 5mm. Just don't want to buy new rims but go wider on the tires. Thanks.

+1 I'd recommend 235/50 as well. You'll get even meatier tires than the 225's and as Shipo stated, still clear the fenders.

Great advice. Thanks.
Just curious...I can see diameter changing speedometer/odometer accuracy, but how does width do that - is it the added drag? If that's true, will I actually lose true torque output? |
...sorry, read the replies again. I see diameter does go up. I get it. Thanks
