Spare wheel cover from mk1 (will it fit a mk2 hatchback?)
Hi,
I've recently aquired a full size spare wheel (a used 17" alloy from a Mk2) to replace the silly can of tyre goo.
I'm now having to either buy or make a cover to fit over it so that anything heavy doesn't just weigh the carpet down into the spare wheel, and that it sits nice and flush with the floor.
I was wondering if the spare wheel cover from a mk1 Mazda 6 would fit (with or without modification), as I've seen a few on eBay and I thought that would be an easier option (and lighter) than making one out of MDF / plywood.
Have a spare tire made at an upholstery shop.
I only carry mine if I am traveling out of town. Because the case is easy to carry and also protective of the tire and anywhere, I decide to place it makes it more convenient for me.
