Should I replace the battery?

Default Should I replace the battery?

I have a 2016 Mazda 6 Touring with the original OEM battery. My mechanic says the battery tested at 419 CCA and is "marginal" but I am skeptical. While I have not yet done a load test on the battery, it has maintained a static charge of 12.6V and I have not detected any problems with starting the car. Granted, I live in Northern California where the temperatures are mild (generally mid 50s - mid 70s year round) but I don't drive a lot. When I do, it's mixed short distance city driving and short distance freeway driving (25-50 miles).

So I have 2 questions: First, should I replace the battery? Second, I have a line on a Bosch "Premium Performance" Group 35 battery at PepBoys for $120. Anyone have any experience with this battery?

Thanks for your input.

Three years is awfully soon to have to change a battery. Did you check the fluid level? Maybe it just needs some distilled water.

Yeah, I thought so too. Fluid levels are fine, one of the first things I checked. Car still starts fine. I'll run a load test with my multimeter. If that checks out I think I'll just leave it for now.
