Shouldn't they be calling it the S2009 by now?
OK. Bad joke.

Last year for that car. If you want a new one, 'better see what's out there.

Yeah, they're small, but they are still bigger than a miata or a mini, a lot faster too.

I wouldn't won't a miata, but I would take a mini s, now that would be fun. I sat in a MX-5 and was very comfortable. it's pretty big for a convertible

I almost forgot the reason I came to this thread tonight....on the way home tonight I played around again in the "manual" and I shifted down to 1st for a light, which turned green right then, and the car gave the same feeling as a manual does when it's gonna stall. and when I accelerate from stop in the "manual" the car jumps up, no matter how I push the pedal, and I hate that

No expert on the subject, but I'm guessing it's un-smooth because you're getting the power from a torque converter instead of through a clutch. I wouldn't be surprised if the car hesitated, since your ECU is telling the transmission what to do...instead of your left foot.

yea it hesitates when I'm in 1st if I don't floor it. does anyone know why the car is louder, and therefore sounds better, when it's in "manual"?

You're revving the engine higher than the computer would in automatic mode. Hence more noise.

Probably because you are running at higher rpms than when you are in D.
