Default Seeking Assistance: Calibration Issues with Mazda 6 Injectors and OBD2 Scanner

Hello everyone, I own a 2011 Mazda 6 Sport 2.2D. Recently, I faced a low oil pressure issue, which has been resolved by fixing perished injector seals and cleaning the engine. However, I am currently dealing with a misfire problem. I suspect that the injectors may need calibration. I attempted the calibration using a jump cable (Ground to earth) five times within 5 seconds, but it was unsuccessful. Consequently, the engine light is now on, along with a flashing glow plug light, indicating a potential failure in the calibration procedure.

I am quite confident that the injectors returned to their original cylinders, except for one possibly troublesome injector with significant carbon buildup, which might have sustained damage during the removal process. To address the calibration failure, I decided to use the Forscan tool for troubleshooting. I purchased an OBD2 scanner (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175793943390) for this purpose, but unfortunately, on my Windows laptop, the scanner connects to my laptop via WiFi but it is not reading the ECU and prompts me to "Please turn ignition on," despite the ignition being already on.

Tomorrow, I plan to attempt using the OBD2 scanner with my Android phone to test operation.

If anyone possesses valuable information to address my issue or notices any mistakes in my approach, please provide assistance.

I abandoned the cheap scanner and returned it to eBay. I ended up purchasing the Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 for £33
Amazon Amazon
which worked perfectly with https://forscan.org/. It revealed a misfire on cylinder 4, indicating probable damage to the original injector. I bought a second-hand injector from eBay for £30, coded it, and calibrated all the injectors. The car now runs smoothly. I highly recommend the Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 and FORScan for troubleshooting engine problems.

Hi,
I hope you can help me with some advise..

I am new to this forum and not fully an expert in this area which is what ended me up in this mess.. I need help to correct my mistake with my car and hope you can give me some advise.
I have a 2013 Mazda 6, 2.2 diesel skyactive and I was messing around with Forescan to see how I can reset the DPF warning light on my dash and after I went to a garage and forced a regen I drove the car on the motorway for over an hour, the warning light didnt go off. however, the performance increased. I wanted so badly to take the dpf warning light off the dash I ran the fuel Injector calibration thinking it will help. To my horror the Bluetooth connectivity between the laptop and the OBD II adapter ELM327 failed during the calibration and now my car is flashing the "glow plug warning light". The car starts and drives but it seems like its burning a lot of diesel since I can get the smell when I stand near the exhaust..

Will running the calibration program help resolve this? I also have a Samsung tab but dont have the Forescan tool ( I think it is not available for download)

Pls help..
