Default Satellite Installation help

I own a 06' Mazda 6 with the Bose sterio system. On the deck face is an SAT button. I contacted Mazda and
ran my VIN (car was 2nd hand)
there is NO sat reciever in the dash.

Is there a kit I can get to install to make that button useable??

Thanks for any help.

Hey Scooby,
what do you mean by "useable"? if you mean can you buy the SAT Radio kit & get it installed then yes, you sure can. it'll cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 just for the satellite unit (eg. not including installation). now if you meant to make it useable for other things, then thats a maybe.....what did you want it to do? do you have the in dash cd changer? you can buy things to hook up an iPod or other MP3 player & those hook up to the external cd changer port or the SAT Radio port....hope this helps.....

Zen,
First sorry for the long break in the repost. Thanks for the reply.

What I would liketo do is use the Sat button to switch to Sat radio.

I own a Sirius Starmate 4, I am in the process of hiding wires and will post
the install when complete.
But, to get better quality audio, instead of using the FM transmitter.
I would like to go from the audio out on the starmate directly into the headunit.
The starmate comes on when I start the car, but I would like to switch between AM/FM, CD, and SAT using the buttons on the stereo.
Currently I am in FM mode and the trasmitter on channel 88.whatever is available
in current area.

My SAT and Media (no tapedeck)buttons are currently available for use.
Any suggestions on what would be best way to go about this.
Thanks in advance to any responses..
