Rough shift points-Automatic

It seems my 2003 6S has developed some rather rough shift points over the past 2-3 weeks. Even when you put it from park into drive you can feel the car jolt. Seems to be the worst going from 2nd to 3rd but it happens all the time. Anyone ever have any problems with this?

Only aftermarket part are:
Injen CAI
Magnaflow cat back
CPE chip (to keep from getting CEL's)
all of which have been on the car for most of the time i have owned it. So nothing new even close to when the problems started.

I believe there was a TSB released regarding this. I can't remember what causes the issue, but I do remember it was common on the 5spd ATX.

rough shift

i had the same problem with my 2004 mazda6 and it started around 80,000 but for me it was expected so i purchased the extended warranty from zurich. it costed me $800.00. but the transmission overhaul alone cost $4000.00, i paid $50.00 out of pocket for the deductable which i thought was fair. it also covered both axels that equaled out to around $1500.00 so it was definately worth it. rough shift points usaully indicate an internal malfunction which usually results in a complete rebuild. you could try checking the tranny and engine mounts just for the hell of it though.

I have driven three different auto 6's and all of them have the rough shift points. My mechanic said to watch the tranny fluid. He also said Mazda may have set it that way to make if feel more sporty.
