Question Options for mazda 6i intake?

I have a mazda 6i that i have put magna flow exhaust on and now i'm looking to put in a decent intake. I want to make sure i keep the MAF sensor connected but still increase air flow. I don't want to fork out 250 bucks on a cold air intake also. Any suggestions?

I'm a bit car challenged when it comes to details so if you don't mind breakin it down thanks!

Well, it will cost ya' $250, but I say, Injen. Anything less and you are taking a chance on cheap materials that could ultimately find there way into the engine.

AEM is my favorite simply because there is no oil on the filter to possibly find it's way back in to the engine.

Ya after doing some more research myself i think cold air intake is the only way i can go, i heard alot of good things about AEM just because the awesome air filter they have, but how do they do performance wise?

With the 6i, all intakes perform the same honestly. You will be looking at a 6-8hp bump. Some really good writeups for the power adders available for the 6i can be found here, and here. The more extreme options can be found here. Sorry, to link to another mazda6 forum, but the technical information available in the writeups is better than anything I could provide on my own, and in greater volume than I can memorize and regurgitate on here.
