Oil filter 2.5 2008 mazda 6

I am going to do a oil change on my 2.5 mazda 6 2008 I have been told there is 2 types of oil filter which one do i need steel one or paper one thanks in advance

No way for us to know; you'll have to look at your oil filter and determine which one is on there.

2008 will be the cartridge type.

The changed to a spin on filter in 2011.

To be certain, buy both, fit 1 & take the other 1 back for a refund.

The thing is, here in the States at least, lots of folks retrofit their cars with a spin-on filter mount.
