For your 6i id say go with the mazdaspeed CAI or cp-e intake. The mazdaspeed intake you get the warranty and it is a great intake. The cp-e is the best you can buy but it is 500 bucks. I wouldnt suggest getting it unless you really want those couple extra horses. With exhaust they all are just up to your liking. You can go to websites and they have sound clips of the exhaust so you can hear the sounds. I dont know if anybody makes headers for mazda 6. Good luck

it's gonna take a bit to get above the 160whp mark (dynojet) but your typical intake/exhaust & header when it comes out. should set you up close the 160 mark at least.

i have the same question regarding the 3.0L, any suggestions on brands for

exhaust
strut tower / sway bars

i don't think that just an intake and exhaust will put you over that mark for wheel hp. maybe crank, but not wheel

well, i started with 128 with my atx and got up to 140 with an intake and prototype header. given a production header would put me in the 148 range or so (given what it did on the focus)...then figure in the mtx dynos about 10hp more than the atx....and you are within 5hp of your mark. not too shabby.

i realize the types of gains from the add ons. The question was what are good brands to get. obviously you could get some crap like pacesetter and save $, but there are better and best options. the only site i found that seemed to have pretty expensive stuff was cp-e. anybody else have input on brands like injen or AEM?

well, there aren't many options out there really. almost all the intakes put out withint 4hp of eath other on the 4cyl....but only 1 can assure you that you won't have a CEL. headers....GTSpec is the only option right now....so again, you don't have a choice. exhaust....doesn't do all that much until you start opening it up, so just pick whatever you want.
