the new Mazdaspee6 has a 2.3L engine that is turboed. Since his engine is also the 2.3L maybe he could purchase the turbo and all equipment from Mazda and install. The turbo they use is pushing 15.6lbs of boost and the car is supposed to have 278hp. I would give that a shot before going aftermarket

I've had a turbo on my '03 since September. best #'s so far at 236hp 228tq on 8psi. the kit i'm running is from HiBoost, test fitting was done on my car as well as the tune for the US cars. right now the top end is being rebuild with SuperTech valvetrain pieces and HiBoost offers a bottom end that will be going on in April. looking to see at least 350hp in my stressed out ATX by summer.

check out my cardomain if there are questions on anything

yo mrtea...i was checking out your cardomain site (nice ride) and noticed you had listed underdrive power pulleys as an engine upgrade. did you install the pulleys before or after the turbo. what kind of gains and side effects did you experience? ive been looking into getting pulleys for my 3s.

if you go with pulleys, the only ones i'd suggest is the SR ones, though they come with a hefty price tag. i do test fitting for a lot of companies and put on a set of focus pulleys, fit was spot on....but spacing on the teeth was not spot on...just bit off and through off timing. it was post turbo and led to valve issues, which is why i decided to have the head ported and new vlaves, springs & retainer installled. it felt good when not in boost, but didn't like boost at all.

the 3 uses a diffenent setup as you guys utilize 2 belts. SR has a setup for you, i just haven't seen it installed yet. i know a guy with a 2.0 that installed em and is very happy though.
