Mazda 6 stalling at hwy speeds
 

Hey:

Anyone out there that has a Mazda 6, 2004 with V-6 3.0 L. My Mazda 6 will surge at hwy speeds and then stall. I put it in nuetral start it up put it back in gear and continue on. The only code it shows it throttle position sensor.

Since there is not a separate TPS part and the dealer wants to sell me throttle body for $400. I am looking for some input at to what it might be. I also found out that there is not a separate fuel filter and the dlr wants to sell me a fuel pump for $450.00.

Anyone had this problem or can suggest a fix?

Have they tried cleaning the throttle body yet?

The throttle body has not been cleaned. What is the procedue to clean it?
