Newbe here. Mazda australia through my mazda dealership has recognized an failure in the engine and has given the ok for the dealer to rebuild the engine..
Question.
Wouldn't a new crated motor be better suited or as other dealer machanics have said, a car replacement of same, like for like should have been offered .
The diesel engine cam has broken down putting metal through out the oil system taking out the turbo, vacuum pump and engine...
Mazda called it a catastrophic engine failure.
Love my mazda, but the thought of it being rebuilt will devalue my car.

Picked up the car with a crated 2018 diesel engine in it. No charge , thanks to mazda Australia.
Will be keeps a eye on oil levels a bit closer incase fuel contaminates the oil.
